6This is true, the quality of the content in mastodon feels very high. I've been exploring other communities such as Pixelfed and Bookwyrm, and what I find is communities that are still emerging but feel more active.\r

10Either way, any one instance doesn't have to be as big as twitter for them to be a real challenge to centralized social-media.
